The students were tasked with creating their own leavers’ video but needed support in developing ideas, building confidence, and understanding the practical elements of visual storytelling.
Many students were uncertain where to start, how to structure their ideas, and how to work together effectively to create a film that represented their shared experience
The Workshop
Jenny designed and facilitated an interactive filmmaking and storytelling workshop focused on:
- Story development
- Storyboarding
- Camera framing and shot selection
- Visual storytelling
- Team collaboration
- Planning and preparation for filming

Impact
After the workshop, 19 out of 23 students reported feeling more confident about filming their leavers’ video.
Many students were uncertain where to start, how to structure their ideas, and how to work together effectively to create a film that represented their shared experience
